Information on the Proteomes of T. aestivum and Puccinia species

This page contains a brief description of all the protein datasets implemented in TRustDB. From here, the users can access the original source of the proteomes used in the database, and download the required protein sequences of the species involved in stem rust disease.

Triticum aestivum

Triticum aestivum is the major staple food grain in the world. It is considered as the most important crop due to its richness in various nutrients such as carbohydrates, proteins, and minerals.

Puccinia graminis species

The two isolates of Puccinia graminis : 'Ug99' and '21-0' are fungal species that cause stem rust in wheat, thus leading to huge losses in grain quantity and quality of the crop. The disease also causes various physiological affects on the crop such as water loss, reduced photosynthetic area and others.
